Summer Job

Ok so i know its only November, and I know that its a day away from christmas and I know that I shouldnt count my chickens before they hatch, but this summers plans are looking very exciting.!!!

As some of you know, My Cheryl, the DPS at first lutheran, is offically retiring as of December 31, 2006. She is getting married and having a family and doing that thing. Really by summer, my bets are she will have a bun in the oven. Anyway, this is so exciting for everyone around Cheryl because she is in love and its cute and she gets to become an instintanious(HELP LAUREN) mom to a cute little red head! lol. Anyways wow im ADD today. So yesterday my pastor came up to Edmonton and we had a meeting. I am being offered a summer job to work at my church!!!
Very exciting.
He says that I will be in charge of our two VBS's that run. The one is at the country church and will probably have 30??? kids. or less. Not sure. The second will the VBS at the city church. It is normally has about 150 kids and 200 people involved in total!!! AHH! SO exciting. I love VBS and its so much fun with tons of kids so it will be amazing having so many people around and knowing its my job to make it happen. Whoopp! I will also be doing visits with people from the church and sitting in on meetings which some people wouldnt be excited about but really, I am. I love meetings and I love having the chance to be involved. Really its part of my being nosey!. lol

So then I might also pick up some hours at the Pool if need be for the weekends and stuff. Ya for not working sundays!! That bugged me so much last year. Ok well I will be working sundays but I will actually get to go to church.
So excited that you dont even understand.
Next exciting things about this summer, two of my best friends are getting married and it will be awesome getting to hang out with them.
Mandy is getting married on June 30th. Great fun. I am a bridesmaid for that wedding. It will be in Lloyd and we will have such a blast setting everything up and getting ready for all that crazy wedding stuff.
Meg and Vince are getting married in Aug. Which I told pastor about because VBS is in August and he said go ahead so long as your back to go to work on monday! YAA> I am also a bridesmaid in that one and I get to go check out Vinces hometown. That will be awesome and you know it. lol. Party!
Well ya, so not only do i have a kick butt job lined up, plenty of social stuff planned, I also am not going to be working 50+ hours a week and I, dare i say it, might actually be able to hang out with my boyfriend for more then 20 minutes a week. Wow, how amazing would that be. Actually seeing eachother, i dont know if we can handle that. lol
Anyways im excite. Summer is along time away but now other then planning , i dont have to wworry about anything. Just pray it all works out!

Polar swim and frozen toes

So yesterday was the day I drove home from Edmonton. It was all ok until I decided to stop for hot chocolate. and then the stupid sun set and the snow started to fall. Well it was ok driving until I got right outside of U OF A campus. Then i decided that i should try and slide into a lady. but Thank goodness I failed to do so and all was well! ya.
Ok so I get home, well I got as far as dorm at shortly after 7. It was quite nice to hang out with the girls and just chill out. Lol. And then I went home at 11 after having a short talk with a dark haired fellow. It was quick but i almost couldnt get in my car. Short drive home, thinking about a friend and then i had had it. She was making a decision because it was driving me nuts. So long msn convo- long being till 2:30 am- my friend and the dark fellow... ya you know it! Its so on!! lol
while talking this late at night i also talked to my sister. Who happened to tell me that when i go to Penticton this winter i will be doing a polar swim. Should be interesting. Then my roommate who will also be there visiting his girlfriend asked what was going on so he and his girlfriend will now be signed up too. lol. so Penticton is about to get a cold burt of Edmonton!! YA
and so i Totally took my sister bed up to edmonton. Now she is concerned about where she will sleep when she hypotheticly comes home. which wont be till after i am back home... aka my bed/her bed will be back her. Really it is the biggest bed and i had room for it so really! lol

Rings!!

Ok so apparently everyone around me gets to get rings. And the most recent is very exciting.

For those of you who know him, Congradulate Vince, Him and Meg are getting married in August. How very excited. So for anyone wanting to go for a road trip to Dawson. LOl. Well Good Job Cowboy, as Rod and Muffin and I decided.

Oh what a crazy day it has been. Meg, congrats too. You rock my socks. And Jan 12, I am ready for you. COme on down. And you know... I know all.. well at least I can know all! Tee hee!.

Chicken Pox and Roughriders

So the epidemic has started. Amber the beautiful red head has the chicken pox. And naturally, the only other person in her house who has not had the chickenpox befor is her sister, Chels, who is sharing a room with the wonderful gal. Oh the irony.
And in other news the roughriders had a rough go and lost horribly to the bc lions. Which now means that my good old saskatchewan brother in law must now attend the Grey cup and cheer for the BC lions. Really he lives in BC so I suppose that he will have to start liking them some time. And seens as its him and his bros, 5 in all going on this trip, which he won air fair, transportation and clothing. Well im sure he will just drink enough so he can like BC> sure that will fix everything.
Now for a dance......... picture charollette and lauren, it may not be graceful but it sure is special!

Anyways lauren and I are now trying out a small gage. We shall see how it works. Maybe good.... hopefully. But at least we still match. Seens as we are bonded by the experience that was our ear piercing. Hey, when four people get needles in the same day its special. Just cuz its Kalm.

Well I think its now time for me to go to bed. I am getting up early to go get my hair cut. That sounds like a good idea right? RIGHT> ya for hair cuts with Rhonda.
